Work has started on the next update to Plan-G, and now and then I’ll give you a sneak peek a some of the things that are coming (no I can’t give you a release date!). Today’s peek is at kml. KML (and KMZ) are files generated through Google Earth, for adding and distributing overlays. Scenery designers often include them with their products to show coverage areas, points of interest and so on. With some limitations, these can be displayed in Google Maps too, and Plan-G will soon be able to take advantage of them.
