Plan-G / Couple of hidden windows
« on: December 18, 2016, 06:32:57 PM »
Using Ver. 3.1.4.123.  Been fooling around with XP11 Beta 2 , Plan-g and 4 monitors.   Some of the Plan-G windows have been hiding themselves behind ( I think) the main Plan-G window.
Those windows are Plan, and Radios. We used to be able just delete the User.cfg file and start over but I do not seem to be able to find that file.

So, what is our procedure these days to reset and have the two missing windows come back into view when selected?

Thanks,
Chuck

Plan-G / A/C in Plan Elevation
« on: August 01, 2014, 06:22:32 PM »
If I remember correctly, many versions ago, plan G would show the aircraft position within the Plan Elevation window. Was it/is it still there?
Do not see it in mine.

Plan-G / Unable to see PDF chart
« on: March 25, 2014, 03:37:56 PM »
Thought I would check the PDF Chart function in Plan-G.  I have one chart in Documents/Plan-G files/charts/KATW/KATW.pdf. Per pages 12 and 74 of the help file.
A right click on the map & on KATW, I see no  indication of a PDF available.

By using the View/Aerodrome the information is all there but no airport chart (the pdf ).
There is a good diagram of the airport within the Aerodrome window.
Am I correct in assuming that the KATW.PDF should be in that window with all the appropriate diagrams and approach(s)?
Screen shot attached.

Thanks,
Chuck

Plan-G / Problem picking up flight plan on next load.
« on: September 11, 2013, 09:10:43 PM »
Running X-Plane 10.22 64 bit.
I can load up a plan within plan-g (V3.06 build 67), route and plan is displayed just fine.  I load the plan (.FMS) into x-plane, the on board GPS shows the proper waypoints, airports, etc. loaded by using the FMS/Key_load command in X-plane.

Flight goes on, following route just as I would expect it to do. Now, if I land at an interm airport (not in plan) and exit both systems to bring them back up later,  upon restarting both Plan-G and X-plane and load plans how do I get Plan-G to tell the X-plane GPS where its at?  It wants to revert back to the starting (first waypoint) point.
I tried invoking "make this the active leg" but that did not work. Matter of fact Make This The Active Leg no longer appears upon a right click of the waypoint within the plan-G pop-up.

I am not sure if this is a X-plane problem or a Plan-G problem, or maybe its no problem at all and not designed to do that.

If I enter a waypoint manually into the X-Plane GPS it still shows a heading number of back to the start point. (it is still seeing Plan data)

As long as I keep flying from start to finish its perfect, it's just the "remain overnight" stop! :) that gives a problem.

Thanks for any assistance/thoughts.

Plan-G / Information window gone again
« on: March 22, 2013, 02:27:40 PM »
Hello Tim,

The Information window is gone again.  I deleted the .CFG file again and no help. (Ver 3.0.3 56)
Opened up the .cfg file. Does this position value look correct to you?  This value is with the new .cfg file after deleting the previous one.

  <setting name="InformationWindowPosition" serializeAs="String">
                <value>2794.4,567.2</value>

Thanks,

Chuck

Plan-G / Lost information window
« on: March 09, 2013, 08:47:20 PM »
V3.0.3 Build 56.
Latest build was working just fine and somewhere along the way I lost the Information window, Under View, Information. The Information tab will toggle on and off but the actual Information window will not appear.  Aerodrome Window with its information works well.
Reinstall of build 56 is of no help.

Any Ideas??

Log attached

Thanks,
Chuck

Plan-G / New Nav-Data for X-Plane on the way
« on: February 18, 2013, 06:51:53 PM »
New Nav-Data for X-plane should be done in about a week according to Robin Peel, keeper of the data.

A quote from a note by him to the .ORG site:
I want to aplogise for the long delay in providing a update to the X-Plane airport and nav-aid data. Job changes led me to build a huge back-log in X-Plane correspondence & updates.  I am working through it now - nothing should have been lost.  I have reviewed the first 300 submissions - about 200 more to go (and each submission often contains dozens of airport changes).

I hope to complete this process by next weekend.

Sounds like folks have been busy submitting corrections to him over the last number of months.
For those not familiar with the nav-data site it is at:   http://data.x-plane.com/

You might want to read the How You Can Help item.

Plan-G / XPUIPC for X-Plane 64 bit
« on: February 12, 2013, 03:03:50 PM »
For those that run X-Plane 64 bit and have missed your Plan-G some good news.   :)

XPUIPC 64 bit has been released.  It is available at:  http://www.tosi-online.de/XPUIPC/XPUIPC.html
It runs on both the 32 bit and 64 bit X-plane.

There is an important Readme.txt file within the zip that you need to read for proper installation.

I gave it a go with Plan-G version 3.0.2 and all works just fine.

Plan-G / Aerodrome info in some cases incorrect.
« on: September 15, 2012, 04:03:43 PM »
Tim,

Where does the information on airports come from? There are number of small airports that have wrong info and I was wondering if I should
report this to the X-plane database manager or to you.

A couple of examples:  Hover over  W165 (Waunakee, WI, USA) and the Information block shows the country as Indonesia.
                                                C29 shows up as Canada.

Small sample of what I found.  No big deal, but it is incorrect.

X-plane version 10.10r2    Plan-G Version 3 Build 50.

Plan-G / Version 3 - Runway heading error(s)?
« on: August 23, 2012, 02:06:33 PM »
Pick a airport of your choice, right click on it, select "show airport diagram."

In my case I was looking at KBAB. It seems to me that the runway heading indicators, 33 & 15, are reversed.
I also at random checked EHVB, same thing there, headings are reversed.

I checked Version 2 and they are correct.

Plan-G / Plan G V3 no database access.
« on: August 16, 2012, 02:32:53 PM »
Hope someone can help me out here.

Trying to invoke the new data base for X-Plane. I get all the applicable windows to tell Plan G where my X plane 10 database is. Here is the problem;

Without Plan G open I see my X-Plane 10/Resources/Default data within the Default Data folder.  I open up Plan-G V3 to tell it where the data is
and the data is gone.    (did this by using Data Tools Browse)
Matter of fact if I go to Plan-G directory (have it under C:/) and look for files (using Plan-G Data Tools Browse), all executable
etc are gone. Looks like all the correct folders are there.   Looking at them WITHOUT the Plan-G Data Tools Browse, they appear.

I tried another download, all Administrative Rights given.

X-Plane 10 is installed on desktop vs under C: so maybe Plan-G does not like that.  What do you think Tim??

Thanks for any assistance,

Chuck
