No Overlays...
« on: April 18, 2015, 08:22:32 PM »
Hi all.

An Va partner (he doesnt' speak english) doesn't have ICAO Airspaces and RDP areas drawed in his PlanG. I've seen his configuration and it seems to be ok.
Instead, airports, VOR's, NDB's appear into the map. The SO is Windows 7 Professional 64 with the last Framework updates.

Here is the log: any ideas?

The log shows airspaces. What zoom level is this at? (it doesn't get recorded in the log unless you change zoom) Are all airspaces set to display at that zoom? Do they appear if you toggle "Show Overlays" off & on?

Hi.

The problem persist at any level of zoom. Only VOR, NDB's, ILS, and airports are shown. Nothing about ICAO airspaces and RDP areas.
Evidently, "Show Overlays" is on.

Here is a shot:

The OVERRIDE  AIRSPACES function wasn't activated. I did it before take the shot making tests

And here is a new log, after moving around the map several times with differents zoomings.

Looking at the same area, I see 110 separate airspaces, compared with 24 in your log. The screenshot appears to show some centre boundaries but nothing else.

The first thing I'd check is the size of your database (in Plan-G Files\Data). It'll vary a little according to what addons you have installed, but mine is around 148MB. The next step is to rebuild the database.

rhalunen, are you generating data for X-Plane? The X-Plane database does not support airspace at this time.

One D Ten T Error (1D10T/Idiot)

Negative, I use FSX.

I misdirected the scenery.cfg to C:\Users\User Name C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\scenery.cfg.

Airspace overlays reappeared once redirected.

Sometimes I think I must be two people 'cause no one person could be this stupid.

My bad, thanks for your rapid reply.
